How does a project with SoftAfrik work?

The eight stages of a collaboration

From the first conversation to post-launch support, each stage produces a verifiable decision or deliverable.

Step 1

Initial conversation

A call, WhatsApp conversation or video meeting helps clarify the activity, requirement, indicative budget and constraints.

Step 2

Analysis and scoping

Users, features, business rules, integrations and priorities are clarified.

Step 3

Proposal and quotation

A written proposal defines the scope, deliverables, schedule, payment terms and responsibilities.

Step 4

Approval and start

After the quotation is approved and the agreed deposit is paid, the required availability is reserved and the schedule starts.

Step 5

Mock-up or first version

User journeys, interfaces or initial modules are presented so the direction can be approved before further development.

Step 6

Progressive delivery

The project moves through milestones. Each stage can be reviewed, tested and approved before the next one.

Step 7

Production launch

Deployment, domain configuration, security, final testing, documentation and onboarding.

Step 8

Support and improvement

A correction period is defined in the quotation. Maintenance and further improvements can then be organised separately.

📌 Limits of the initial scope

Substantial development does not start without an agreed scope and commercial approval.
A fixed price cannot be guaranteed for an insufficiently scoped requirement.
Requests outside the approved scope are evaluated separately.
Ongoing maintenance is not automatically included in the initial development.
Delivery dates also depend on the availability of content, access and client validation.
